From the beginning of the year number of population of the country increased by 5777 persons or 0,1% and reached to 10230666 persons for the state of the 1st March 2025. 54,4% of the population is urban, 45,6% is rural residents, 49,8% is men, 50,2% is women.

On January-February of the current year 15971 newborns by country were registered by the region (city) Registration Departments of the Ministry of Justice and in comparison with the corresponding months of 2024 this indicator decreased from 10,2% to 9,7% per 1,000 population. Proportion of boys among newborns were 53,8%, proportion of girls among newborns were 46,2%. 570 of newborns were twins, 33 were triplets.

10461 deaths were registered in the country during the first two months of the current year and the rate of deaths per 1000 population increased from 6,2 to 6,3 in comparison with the corresponding period of 2024.

On January-February of 2025 7741 marriages and 3414 divorces were registered by the region (city) Registration Departments of the Ministry of Justice and the number of marriages increased from 4,0 to 4,7 and the rate of divorces remained the same (2,1) per 1000 population compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
