On November 1, the Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Mr Tahir Budagov met with the Country Manager of the World Bank for Azerbaijan Ms Sarah Michael.

During the meeting, it was noted that many meetings aimed at developing bilateral cooperation as a result of active partnership between the State Statistical Committee and the World Bank were organized in recent years, discussions were made on the execution of the “National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2018-2030, including plans on Azerbaijan Republic: capacity building of detailed institutional, human resources and information and communication technologies in 2018-2022” and perspective plans implemented within the framework of this partnership and the importance of joint measures to improve the statistical potential of the country, bring the national statistical system into line with international standards and develop the country statistics was emphasized.

The Country Manager of the World Bank for Azerbaijan Ms Sarah Michael expressed her satisfaction for the sincere meeting.
