The 72nd meeting of the Council of the Heads of Statistical Services of CIS member states was held

On May 15, the 72nd meeting of the Council of the Heads of Statistical Services of member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held via video conference.

The video conference, chaired by the Chairman of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Tahir Budagov, was attended by the Chairman of the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee, heads and deputy heads of statistical agencies of member states, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

At the meeting of the Council, participants discussed the activity of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services of CIS member states in 2024 and the work carried out by the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee in 2024, the proposals were made for the 2026-2027 project “Development of CIS Statistics”, and other relevant issues were also addressed, relevant decisions were adopted.
