The State Statistical Committee Was Represented at the High Level Seminar

On 14–16 May 2025, the High Level Seminar (HLS) on the theme “Official statistics in a changing world: value, efficiency and readiness for the future of statistics” was held in Budva, Montenegro. The event was attended by Mr. Rauf Salimov, Deputy Chairman of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Mr. Toghrul Ajalov, Head of the Department of Coordination of Statistical Work and Strategic Planning.

During the seminar, sessions were organised by the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) focusing on recent developments in the field of statistics in the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia countries under the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP-East). The sessions addressed the value of official statistics, efficiency in data production, priority areas, and statistical cooperation. Presentations were delivered by senior officials from the national statistical institutions of the participating countries.
