Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Mr Tahir Budagov met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Ms Vladanka Andreeva

On October 8 the Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Mr Tahir Budagov met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Ms Vladanka Andreeva.

In the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation between the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the UN agencies during recent years, it was noted that the action taken within this cooperation, in particular the establishment of the National Information Portal on Sustainable Development Goals of the Republic of Azerbaijan, “United Nations and State Statistical Committee Joint Working Group on National SDG Monitoring System”, organization of the International Seminar on “Disaggregation of data on Sustainable Development Goals in the context of Azerbaijan”, development of practical manual “Disaggregation of Data for SDG” within the cooperation between the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) and the State Statistical Committee are important steps towards the development of country statistics.

Ms Vladanka Andreeva expressed her gratitude to Tahir Budagov for the warm meeting and said that the UN-Azerbaijan relations were established in the spirit of fruitful cooperation and that the State Statistical Committee is one of the main partners of the UN and noted that she would support the State Statistical Committee in all its initiatives.
