Industrial output in January-August 2021

In January-August 2021 industrial products at 32.1 milliard manats or more for 2.6 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2020 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. The product output in oil-gas sector of industry decreased by 0.3 percent, while in non-oil and gas sector it increased by 18,4 percent.

62,5 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 31,6 percent in manufacturing sector, 5,0 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,9 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable oil production in mining sector decreased by 1.4 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 14.6 percent.

Production of installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment in manufacturing sector increased by 74.3 percent, construction materials by 64.3 percent, pharmaceutical products by 62.1 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 56.1 percent, tobacco products by 55.1 percent, electrical equipment by 53,4 percent, textile industry products by 52.5 percent, computer, electronic and optical products by 44.9 percent, paper and cardboard by 28.9 percent, rubber and plastic products by 17.5 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 17.3 percent, finished metal products by 10.3 percent, oil products by 8.7 percent, food products by 6.2 percent, chemical industrial products by 5.8 percent, production of beverage by 2.9 percent, machine and equipment by 1.8 percent, while wood manufacturing and production of wood products decreased by 4.9 percent, production of furniture by 5.8 percent, production of clothes by 9.8 percent, automobile, trailers and semi-trailers production by 38,5 percent, polygraphic products by 40.5 percent, other vehicles by 69.8 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 5,4 percent while in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 11,0 percent.
