Retail trade turnover

In January-June 2021, products at 19383,1 million manats, including food products, beverages and tobacco products at 10436,8 million manats, non-food products at 8946,3 million manats were sold to the consumers in retail trade network. Compared to January-June 2020 the retail trade turnover increased in real terms by 1,7 percent, including 2,3 percent for food products, beverages and tobacco products while for non-food products it increased by 1,1 percent.

During the reporting period, 48,4 percent of resources the consumers spent to purchasing of food products for final consumption purposes, 5,4 percent – beverages and tobacco products, 14,3 percent - textile products, clothes and shoes, 6,2 percent - gasoline and diesel fuel, 5,3 percent - electrical appliances and furniture, 2,2 percent - pharmaceutical products and medical equipment, 0,8 percent - computers, telecommunication equipment and printing products and 17,4 percent - other non-food products.

In the first half of 2021, 27,2 percent of consumer goods in real terms have been sold by trade enterprises, 50,1 percent - private entrepreneurs and 22,7 percent were sold in markets and fairs. Retail trade turnover in real terms compared to the same period of 2020 increased by 17,7 percent - for enterprises, 1,2 percent - for private entrepreneurs and decreased by 11,7 percent - for markets and fairs.

During the reporting period, in the trade network at average monthly per country citizen there have been purchased products in amount of 322,7 manats, including food products, beverages and tobacco products in amount of 173,8 manats and non-food products in amount of 148,9 manats.
