Retail trade turnover

In January-March 2021, products at 9,5 billion manats, including food products, beverages and tobacco products at 5,2 billion manats, non-food products at 4,3 billion manats were sold to the consumers in retail trade network. Compared to January-March 2020 the retail trade turnover decreased in real terms by 1,1 percent, including 4,7 percent for non-food products and increased by 2,1 percent for food products, beverages and tobacco products.

During the reporting period, 48,6 percent of resources the consumers spent to purchasing of food products for final consumption purposes during the reporting period, 5,8 percent – beverages and tobacco products, 16,4 percent - textile products, clothes and shoes, 5,4 percent - gasoline and diesel fuel, 5,0 percent - electrical appliances and furniture, 2,2 percent - pharmaceutical products and medical equipment, 0,7 percent - computers, telecommunication equipment and printing products and 15,9 percent - other non-food products.

In January-March 2021, 25,8 percent of consumer goods in real terms have been sold by trade enterprises, 50,1 percent - private entrepreneurs and 24,1 percent were sold in markets and fairs. Retail trade turnover in real terms compared to January-March 2020 increased by 7,3 percent - for enterprises, 3,7 percent - for private entrepreneurs and decreased by 16,3 percent - for markets and fairs.

During the reporting period, in the trade network at average monthly per country citizen there have been purchased products in amount of 318,1 manats, including food products, beverages and tobacco products in amount of 172,9 manats and non-food products in amount of 145,2 manats.
