Industrial output in January-February 2021

In January-February 2021 industrial products at 7,1 milliard manats or less for 4,0 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2020 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. This decrease was due to 6,3 percent decrease in product output in oil-gas sector, while product output in non-oil and gas sector of industry increased by 12,1 percent.

64,1 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 29,1 percent in manufacturing sector, 6,1 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,7 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable oil production in mining sector decreased by 4,9 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 9,6 percent.

Production of pharmaceutical products in manufacturing sector increased by 9,6 times, leather and leather products and shoes by 7,2 times, computer, electronic and optical products by 3,0 times, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 2,2 times, tobacco products by 2,1 times, machine and equipment by 2,0 times, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 2,0 times, rubber and plastic products by 45,3 percent, paper and cardboard by 26,5 percent, textile industry products by 26,5 percent, construction materials by 13,2 percent, chemical industrial products by 6,5 percent, production of electrical equipment by 6,2 percent, food products by 2,5 percent, while production of clothes decreased by 4,0 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 6,1 percent, oil products by 17,9 percent, beverage by 18,6 percent, finished metal products by 20,2 percent, production of furniture by 59,6 percent, polygraphic products by 67,7 percent, automobile, trailers and semi-trailers production by 74,3 percent, other vehicles by 95,7 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply decreased by 3,1 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities decreased by 0,6 percent.
