On January-November 2020 legal and natural entities of the Republic of Azerbaijan realized trade operations with their partners in 183 countries of the world, goods were exported to 108 countries and imported from 175 countries.

Taking into account value of statistically estimated exported crude oil and natural gas registered in the customs agencies but customs formalities of which not completed the foreign trade turnover of the country on January-November 2020 made 21863,3 million USD. 12177,8 million USD or 55,7% of trade turnover made the export value, 9685,5 (44,3%) million USD – import value and consequently positive trade balance reached to 2492,3 million USD. In comparison with January-November 2019 foreign trade turnover decreased in actual price by 27,2%, in real terms by 21,7%, including import – 36,2%, export - 11,5%.

On January-November 2020 the export of non-oil gas products, compared to corresponding period of previous year, decreased in actual price by 8,0%, while in real terms it decreased by 17,9% and made 1638,2 million USD.

According to the State Customs Committee data, 31,4% of export value was formed based on goods exported to Italy, 19,2% - Turkey, 4,9% – Russia, 3,6% - Greece, 3,4% - Croatia, per 3,3% – Georgia and China, 3,2% - India, 3,1% - Israel, per 2,5% - Spain and Ukraine, 2,2% – Tunisia, per 1,8% - Portugal and Germany, 1,7% - Czech Republic, 1,5% - Switzerland and the rest 10,6% - other countries.

The share of goods sent to Russia (38,3%), Turkey (19,6%), Switzerland (12,3%), Georgia (7,1%), China (2,5%), Ukraine (2,4%), Italy (2,1%), Iran (1,6%), Kazakhstan (1,4%), USA (1,3%), Germany (1,1%), Belarus (1,0%), Turkmenistan (1,0%) was prevailed in export value on non-oil gas products.

18,3% of total value of goods imported to our country was per the share of Russia, 14,5% – Turkey, 13,2% - China, 6,1% - USA, 5,3% – Germany, 4,4% – France, 3,9% - Ukraine, 3,8% - Italy, 2,8% – UK, 2,7% – Iran, 1,8% – Japan, 1,6% – Korea, and 21,6% - other countries.

On January-November 2020 compared to corresponding period of previous year export of main types of products like fresh vegetable increased by 3,0%, potato – 31,7%, fruit and vegetable juice – 22,5%, vegetable oils – 1,6 times, margarine, other mixtures fit for food – 27,9%, cotton fiber – 8,4%, polyethylene – 23,2%, ferrous metal pipes – 1,8 times, while export of fresh fruit decreased by 11,9%, sugar – 19,6%, tobacco – 26,3%, tea – 9,3%, fruit and vegetable cans – 1,5%, natural grape wine and cellar – 58,5%, unprocessed aluminum – 20,1%, cotton yarn – 37,0%, bentonite clay – 3,4%, semi-finished ferrous metals - 48,8%.

On January-November 2020 compared to January-November 2019 import of vegetable oils increased by 4,1%, fresh fruit – 11,4%, butter, other milk fats and pastas – 19,5%, beef – 12,8%, fresh vegetable – 37,9%, motor cars – 22,8%, medical products – 43,8%, computing machinery, blocks and installations – 17,1%, mineral fertilizers – 2,7%, ferrous metal rods – 46,3%, while import of wheat decreased by 17,6%, raw sugar and sugar – 13,1%, tea – 2,2%, potato – 8,4%, poultry meat and its additional products – 21,6%, cigarettes – 73,2%, ferrous metal pipes – 21,8%, steel rolling – 8,1%, rubber tires – 18,5%, domestic trucks – 1,8%, furniture – 25,0%, polyethylene – 26,3%, air conditioners – 32,9%, washing machines – 7,3%, ferrous metal corners – 8,9%, busses - 54,9%, domestic refrigerators – 11,2%, cement and cement clinker – 21,6%.
