Industrial output in January-September 2020

In January-September 2020 industrial products at 27,8 milliard manats or less for 4,5 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. This decrease was due to 6.1 percent decrease in product output in oil-gas sector, while product output in non-oil and gas sector of industry increased by 10.8 percent.

60,1 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 33,8 percent in manufacturing sector, 5,2 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,9 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable oil production in mining sector decreased by 7,6 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 8,3 percent.

Production of pharmaceutical products in manufacturing sector increased by 8,2 times, metallurgical industrial products by 74,9 percent, automobile, trailers and semi-trailers by 72,2 percent, other vehicles by 59,4 percent, computer, electronic and optical products by 39,7 percent, paper and cardboard by 30,4 percent, production of clothes by 29,2 percent, machine and equipment by 28,9 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 28,5 percent, construction materials by 25,9 percent, polygraphic products by 24,7 percent, chemical industrial products by 20,1 percent, rubber and plastic products by 16,4 percent, tobacco products by 13,5 percent, textile industry products by 5,1 percent, while production of food products decreased by 1,8 percent, finished metal products by 2,1 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 5,3 percent, oil products by 5,5 percent, electrical equipment by 9,6 percent, beverage by 9,8 percent, production of furniture by 26,6 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 41,8 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 8,7 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it decreased by 2,8 percent.
