Industrial output in January-August 2020

In January-August 2020 industrial products at 24,7 milliard manats or less for 3,1 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. This decrease was due to 4.9 percent decrease in product output in oil-gas sector, while product output in non-oil and gas sector of industry increased by 13.6 percent.

60,7 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 33,1 percent in manufacturing sector, 5,3 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,9 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable oil production in mining sector decreased by 7,2 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 12,2 percent.

Production of pharmaceutical products in manufacturing sector increased by 9,5 times, metallurgical industrial products by 2,3 times, automobile, trailers and semi-trailers by 96,4 percent, other vehicles by 63,0 percent, machine and equipment by 50,4 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 39,5 percent, tobacco products by 38,7 percent, computer, electronic and optical products by 36,8 percent, production of clothes by 32,0 percent, paper and cardboard by 30,6 percent, rubber and plastic products by 23,3 percent, chemical industrial products by 13,4 percent, polygraphic products by 11,9 percent, textile industry products by 4,7 percent, electrical equipment by 3,4 percent, oil products by 2,2 percent, while production of food products decreased by 0,8 percent, construction materials by 1,8 percent, finished metal products by 3,8 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 6,3 percent, beverage by 9,0 percent, production of furniture by 19,3 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 44,6 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 9,7 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it decreased by 1,7 percent.
