On January-June 2020 legal and natural entities of the Republic of Azerbaijan realized trade operations with their partners in 167 countries of the world, goods were exported to 100 countries and imported from 155 countries.

Taking into account value of statistically estimated exported crude oil and natural gas registered in the customs agencies but customs formalities of which not completed the foreign trade turnover of the country on January-June 2020 made 11750,2 million USD. 6760,7 million USD or 57,5% of trade turnover made the export value, 4989,5 (42,5%) million USD – import value and consequently positive trade balance reached to 1771,2 million USD. In comparison with January-June 2019 foreign trade turnover decreased in actual price by 30,3%, in real terms by 20,5%, including import – 42,8%, export - 4,6%.

On January-June 2020 the export of non-oil gas products, compared to January-June 2019, increased in actual price by 6,9%, while in real terms it decreased by 14,0% and made 911,9 million USD.

According to the State Customs Committee data, 32,0% of export value was formed based on goods exported to Italy, 19,2% - Turkey, 5,0% – Russia, 4,2% – Israel, 3,7% – India, per 3,2% Greece, China and Croatia, 3,1% – Georgia, 3,0% – Ukraine, 2,1% - Czech Republic, 1,9% – Tunisia, per 1,9% Vietnam, Portugal and Spain, and the rest 11,1% - other countries.

The share of goods sent to Russia (40,6%), Turkey (19,4%), Switzerland (10,5%), Georgia (8,4%), China (3,1%), Ukraine (2,4%), Italy (2,1%), Kazakhstan (1,6%), Iran (1,2%), Turkmenistan (1,0%), Belarus (1,0%), USA (0,9%), Germany (0,9%) was prevailed in export value on non-oil products.

18,3% of total value of goods imported to our country was per the share of Russia, 14,8% – Turkey, 13,3% - China, 8,1% - USA, 5,3% – Germany, 4,3% – Ukraine, 4,1% – Italy, 2,8% – Iran, 2,7% – UK, 1,9% – Japan, 1,8% – Korea, 1,7% – France and 20,9% - other countries.

On January-June 2020 compared to January-June 2019 export of main types of products like fresh vegetable increased by 4,3%, potato – 32,0%, fruit and vegetable juice – 3,8%, vegetable oils – 1,8 times, tea – 0,5%, margarine, other mixtures fit for food – 52,1%, polyethylene – 39,8%, ferrous metal  pipes – 1,8 times, bentonite clay – 5,2%, while export of fresh fruit decreased by 24,5%, sugar – 25,9%, tobacco – 25,9%, fruit and vegetable cans – 0,8%, natural grape wine and cellar – 52,2%, cotton fiber – 18,4%, cotton yarn – 22,0%, unprocessed aluminum – 5,8%.

On January-June 2020 compared to January-June 2019 import of fresh fruit increased by 15,0%, vegetable oils – 10,1%, raw sugar and sugar – 11,0%, butter other milk fats and pastas – 34,5%,           tea – 10,0%, beef – 29,4%, poultry meat and its additional products – 2,1%, fresh vegetable – 26,4%, motor cars – 29,2%, medical products – 1,7 times, steel rolling – 10,5%, ferrous metal rods – 1,7 times, computing machinery, blocks and installations – 23,1%, domestic refrigerators – 39,2%, while import of wheat decreased by 37,8%, potato – 0,8%, tobacco – 80,1%, ferrous metal pipes – 13,5%, mineral fertilizers – 3,4%, rubber tires – 14,4%, air conditioners – 24,7%, furniture – 23,2%, domestic trucks – 15,6%, polyethylene – 14,8%, washing machines – 4,8%, ferrous metal corners – 7,0%, busses - 24,8%, cement and cement clinker – 92,1%.
