Industrial output in January-July 2020

In January-July 2020 industrial products at 21,6 milliard manats or less for 2,7 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. This decrease was due to 4.3 percent decrease in product output in oil-gas sector, while product output in non-oil and gas sector of industry increased by 13.0 percent.

61,0 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 32,7 percent in manufacturing sector, 5,5 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,8 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable oil production in mining sector decreased by 6,5 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 13,3 percent.

Production of pharmaceutical products in manufacturing sector increased by 7,8 times, metallurgical industrial products by 2,1 times, automobile, trailers and semi-trailers by 92,5 percent, machine and equipment by 64,9 percent, computer, electronic and optical products by 42,8 percent, other vehicles by 57,7 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 41,0 percent, tobacco products by 27,6 percent, paper and cardboard by 24,9 percent, rubber and plastic products by 19,0 percent, chemical industrial products by 18,8 percent, production of clothes by 15,8 percent, electrical equipment by 5,1 percent, textile industry products by 0,4 percent, while finished metal products decreased by 0,5 percent, oil products by 0,9 percent, food products by 1,5 percent, construction materials by 4,8 percent, polygraphic products by 5,9 percent, beverage by 7,0 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 13,2 percent, production of furniture by 13,8 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 43,1 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 11,8 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it decreased by 0,5 percent.
