Staff of the State Statistical Committee joined the blood donation campaign

Employees of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the blood donation campaign by joining First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva`s call for support for establishment of blood resource for those suffering from thalassemia and hemophilia, as well as leukemia.

            Management and staff of the State Statistical Committee voluntarily gave blood in order to support children suffering from hereditary blood diseases, especially thalassemia and increase the blood supply to them within the framework of the program of the Haydar Aliyev Foundation “For Life without Thalassemia” in the National Center for Hematology and Transfusion.

            The health status of ach donor was determined by doctor hematologists and blood was taken from them after a thorough medical examination. The blood taken will be checked and used for children suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia, as well as leukemia.
