Retail trade turnover
In January-March 2020, 9.2 billion manats, including 4.8 billion manats food products, beverages and tobacco products, 4.4 billion manats non-food products were sold to the population in retail trade network. 1.2 percent increase was observed in the total trade turnover, including 2.9 percent in food products, beverages and tobacco products, and 0.5 percent decrease in non-food products compared to the corresponding period of 2019.

In the first quarter of current year, 46.9 percent of resources the consumers spent to purchasing of food products for final consumption purposes, 5.5 percent - beverages and tobacco products, 16.7 percent - textile products, clothes and shoes, 5.7 percent - electrical appliances and furniture, 5.2 percent - motor fuel, 1.6 percent - pharmaceutical and medical products, 0.7 percent - computers, telecommunication equipment and printing products and 17.7 percent - other non-food products.
In January-March 2020, 23.7 percent of consumer goods in real terms have been sold by trade enterprises, 47.8 percent - private entrepreneurs, 28.5 percent were sold in markets and fairs. Retail trade turnover in real terms compared to January-March 2019 increased by 28.5 percent - for enterprises, decreased by 1.1 percent - for private entrepreneurs, 11.0 percent - for markets and fairs.
In the reporting quarter, retail trade turnover in average per capita made 309.4 manats or more for 10.8 manats in nominal terms than the indicator of corresponding quarter of 2019. In the trade network at average monthly per country citizen there have been purchased food products, beverages and tobacco products in amount of 162.1 manats and non-food products in amount of 147.3 manats.
