Industrial output in January-March 2020

In January-March 2020 industrial products at 10,6 milliard manats or more for 0.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. Product output in non oil-gas sector of industry increased by 23,0 percent.

65.5 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 28,4 percent in manufacturing sector, 5,4 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,7 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Oil production in mining sector decreased by 3,9 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 15,3 percent.

Production of automobile, trailers and semi-trailers in manufacturing sector increased by 7,3 times, computer, electronic and optical products by 3,9 times, metallurgical industrial products by 2,1 times, beverage by 2,1 times, other vehicles by 66,7 percent, pharmaceutical products by 36,7 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 28,0 percent, tobacco products by 28,0 percent, chemical industrial products by 25,7 percent, rubber and plastic products by 25,0 percent, polygraphic products by 20,2 percent, paper and cardboard by 20,2 percent, electrical equipment by 18,3 percent, furniture by 14,1 percent, textile industry products by 10,5 percent, production of clothes by 10,0 percent, oil products by 9,6 percent, food products by 5.3 percent, finished metal products by 2,7 percent, while production of construction materials decreased by 14,8 percent, machine and equipment by 16,0 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 20,7 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 60,7 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 17,1 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 4,2 percent.
