Industrial output in January-February 2020

In January-February 2020 industrial products at 7,7 billion manats or more for 0,9 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. Product output in non oil-gas sector of industry increased by 21,7 percent.

68,4 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 26,0 percent in manufacturing sector, 5,0 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,6 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Oil production in mining sector decreased by 3,7 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 19,1 percent.

Production of automobile, trailers and semi-trailers by 7,0 times, computer, electronic and optical products in manufacturing sector increased by 5,7 times, other vehicles by 2,5 times, beverage by 2,1 times, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 89,8 percent, production of clothes by 79,6 percent, finished metal products by 56,5 percent, furniture by 47,3 percent, polygraphic products by 40,7 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 39,6 percent, paper and cardboard by 27,5 percent, electrical equipment by 27,1 percent, textile industry products by 25,0 percent, chemical industrial products by 19,5 percent, tobacco products by 16,3 percent, oil products by 11,3 percent, pharmaceutical products by 4,2 percent, rubber and plastic products by 3,6 percent, food products by 1,2 percent, while installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment decreased by 7,7 percent, production of machine and equipment by 19,1 percent, construction materials by 21,9 percent, leather and leather products and shoes decreased by 40,3 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 18,6 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 4,3 percent.
