On January-July 2019 legal and natural entities of the Republic of Azerbaijan realized trade operations with their partners in 177 countries of the world, goods were exported to 107 countries and imported from 164 countries.

Taking into account value of statistically estimated exported crude oil and natural gas registered in the customs agencies but customs formalities of which not completed the foreign trade turnover of the country on January-July 2019 made 19932,8 million USD, including export value – 11499,1 million USD, import value – 8433,7 million USD and consequently positive trade balance reached to 3065,4 million USD. In comparison with January-July 2018 foreign trade turnover increased in actual price by 14,0 percent, including import – 51.3 percent, export – 0.1 percent. In real terms trade turnover increased by 6,0 percent, including import - by 15,6 percent and export – 1,2 percent.

According to the State Customs Committee data, 30,1 percent of export value was formed based on goods exported to Italy, 12,2 percent - Turkey, 6,1 percent – Israel, per 5.6 percent – India and China, 4,9 percent - Germany, 4,9 percent – Germany, 3,8 percent – Spain, per 3,4 percent - Russia and Czech Republic, 3,3 percent – France, 3,1 percent – Georgia, 2,4 percent – Portugal, 2,2 percent - Ukraine and the rest 13,9 percent - other countries.

14,1 percent of total value of goods imported to our country was per the share of Switzerland, 14,0 percent - Russia, 9,7 percent - Turkey, 8,6 percent - China, 6,7 percent - USA, 4.8 percent Germany, 4,6 percent – Canada, 3,8 percent – Iran, 3,5 percent – Australia, 3,1 percent - Ukraine, 2,6 percent - Italy, 2,0 percent - France, 1,7 percent Kazakhstan, 20.8 percent - other countries.

On January-July 2019 non-oil products in amount of 1133,0 million US dollars have been exported and that is more in actual prices for 17,0 percent and real terms for 12,8 percent relatively to January-July 2018. The share of goods sent to Russia (34,9 %), Turkey (22,2 %), Georgia (8,9 %), Switzerland  (7,8 %), Italy (2,9 %), Ukraine (2,2%), Greece (2,1 %), China (1.7%), Iran (1,6 %) and Netherlands (1,3%) was prevailed in export value on non-oil products.

On January-July 2019 compared to the same period of 2018 export of main types of products like fresh vegetable decreased by 1,0 percent, fresh fruit – 26,2 percent, sugar – 49,2 percent, tobacco – 1,9 times, fruit and vegetable juice – 36,3 percent, tea - 2,2 percent, fruit and vegetable cans – 6,4 percent, margarine, other mixtures fit for food – 33,5 percent, cotton fibre – 2,0 times, cotton yarn – 43,0 percent, unprocessed aluminum – 6,2 percent, semi-finished ferrous metals – 39,5 percent, bentonite clay – 5,2 percent,    potato - 7,4 percent, vegetable oils – 33,9 percent, natural grape wine and cellar – 20,7 percent, polyethylene – 1,1 percent, ferrous metal pipes – 82,5 percent.

On January-July 2019 compared to January-July 2018 import of wheat increased by 9,2 %, fresh fruit – 5,1 percent, raw sugar and sugar – 1,6 times, other milk fats and pastas – 2,4%, potato – 14,1%, poultry meat and its additional products – 14,7%, beef – 14,7%, fresh vegetable – 39.7%, motor cars – 2,0 times, ferrous metal rods – 21,2%, mineral fertilizers – 18,6%, computing machinery, blocks and installations – 29,2%, rubber tyres – 10,1%, air conditioners – 1.8 times, furniture – 6,1%, polyethylene – 21,7%, domestic trucks – 1.7 times, washing machines – 9,0%, ferrous metal corners – 11,9%, busses – 2,0 times while import of vegetable oils decreased by 5,5%, cigarette – 44,5%, tea – 1,5%, metal pipes – 9,8%, ferrous steel rolling – 11,6 percent, cement and cement clinker – 20,9%, domestic refrigerator – 19,4%.
