On January-July 2018, legal and natural entities of the Republic of Azerbaijan realized trade operations with their partners in 170 countries of the world; goods were exported to 101 countries and imported from 162 countries.

Taking into account value of statistically estimated exported crude oil and natural gas registered in the customs agencies but customs formalities of which not completed the foreign trade turnover on January-July 2018 made 17474.7 million USD, including export value – 11698.5 million USD, import value – 5776.2 million USD and consequently positive trade balance reached to 5922.3 million USD. In comparison with January-July 2017 foreign trade turnover increased in actual price by 35.6%, in real by 0.7%, including export - by 0.8% and import – 0.5%.

According to the State Customs Committee data, 24.8% of export value was formed based on goods exported to Italy, 8.0% - Turkey, 7.6% - Israel, 5.3% - India, 4.7% - Taiwan (the state of China), 4.3% - Indonesia, 4.0% - Canada, 3.9% - Germany, per 3.7% - Portugal and Czech Republic, 3.6% - Russia, 3.2% - Georgia, 3.0% - France, 2.6% - Spain and the rest 17.6% - other countries.

15.9% of total value of goods imported to our country was per the share of import transactions with Russia, 15.3% - Turkey, 10.2% - China, 6.7% - Germany, 4.9% - USA, 4.1% - Ukraine, 3.3% - Italy, 2.7% - Iran, per 2.5% - Switzerland and Japan, 2.4%- United Kingdom, 2.2% - Belarus, 27.3% - other countries.

On January-July 2018 non-oil products in amount of 968.6 million USD have been exported and that is more in actual prices for 13.5% and in real terms for 3.8% relatively to January-July 2017.

On January-July 2018 compared to the same period of 2017 export of main types of products like fresh fruit increased by 48.0%, potato – 15.5%, vegetable oils – 23.6%, natural grape wine and cellar – 2.0 times, fruit and vegetable cans – 23.5%, polyethylene – 10.9%, unprocessed aluminum – 18.5%, cotton fibre – 66.9%, ferrous metal pipes– 10.2%, cotton yarn – 23.1%, while export of fresh vegetable – 1.5%, sugar – 44.7%, fruit and vegetable juice – 15.2%, tobacco – 20.1%, tea – 17.6%, margarine, other mixtures fit for food – 7.8%, semifinished ferrous metals - 70.9%, bentonite clay decreased by 3.2%,

On January-July 2018 compared to January-July 2017 import of wheat increased by 17.1%, vegetable oils – 41.7%, fresh fruit – 47.5%, tea – 6.3%, poultry meat and its additional products – 3.7%, ferrous metal pipes – 2.0 times, motor cars – 2.7 times, ferrous metal rods – 27.3%, mineral fertilizers – 77.0%, furniture – 32.1%, computing machinery, blocks and installations – 4.1%, rubber tyres – 2.0%, polyethylene – 60.0%, domestic air conditioners – 20.2%, trucks – 2.2 times, washing machine – 29.2%, cement and cement clinkers – 59.4%, domestic refrigerators – 2.3 times, while import of cigarettes decreased by 3.7%, raw sugar and sugar – 45.2%, butter, other milk fats and pastas – 20.7%, potato – 23.2%, beef – 21.0%, fresh vegetable – 46.3%, steel rolling – 2.2%,ferrous metal corners – 7.3%, buses – 37.8%.
